Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
Your data is kept secure, and will only be used on our client database software, which has their own privacy policy; you can request a copy from us.
How long we retain your data
If you decide not to proceed with our services, we’ll erase your data within three months of submission.
If you instruct us, we reserve the right to retain your full client file until after your death. This is because, due to the nature of our work, those who may wish to make a claim against DamonWills won’t usually do so until the testator is deceased. It is not reasonable to put a time frame on this.
However, if there is a change in the software we use to store your data, and it has been more than six years since you instructed us, we may destroy your data unless it is proportionate to transfer it.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Your data is stored on our contact form database within WordPress. If you decide to instruct us, any other information you provide will be scanned and uploaded to your client file on a third party system.
We may also send your data to the Office of the Public Guardian as part of your LPA application.
